100 Acts of Service
A Community Service Initiative by the BGWR Boundless Legacy Project
At Black Girls Who Read, we believe stories change lives. But so does showing up for our communities in real, tangible ways.
As part of the 2026 Black Girls Who Read Summit, we are launching 100 Acts of Care — a community service initiative dedicated to supporting students and women in need throughout the Dallas area.
Through this campaign, we are assembling 100 care kits that will be distributed to local schools and women's shelters. Each kit represents a simple but meaningful act of compassion from our community.
Supporters can sponsor a kit for $15, helping us reach our goal of 100 acts of service before the Summit.
The BGWR Boundless Legacy Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Backpack Drive
Education is one of the most powerful tools for transformation. These backpacks are designed to support students who may not have access to essential school supplies.
These backpacks will help students walk into school feeling prepared, confident, and supported by a community that believes in their future.

Self Care Kits
Women entering shelters are often rebuilding their lives under extremely difficult circumstances. Our self-care kits are designed to provide dignity, comfort, and basic essentials during that transition.
These small but powerful items help restore a sense of normalcy and care during challenging moments.
