Here We Grow Again.
The Black Girls Who Read Summit is back in 2027. And this time… it’s even more lit. Join us for a weekend of good vibes, good books, and meaningful conversations.
This year’s theme: Lit Pic Edition. A celebration of the next bloom—
and how we choose to hold space for ourselves.

IT'S GIVING LIT, WILD, AND FREE.
The inaugural 2026 Black Girls Who Read Summit was a whole vibe—beautiful, intentional, and full of connection, from powerful author moments to curated spaces for every vibe.
And now, we’re turning it all the way up.
Welcome to the 2027 Black Girls Who Read Summit: The Lit Pic Edition—where we step into a fully immersive, editorial experience rooted in duality, growth, and freedom from limited beliefs.
Join us for a 3-day immersive literary experience celebrating Black women, storytelling, growth, softness, and community.
This year, we’re inviting you into a journey.
A journey where we gather as a village.
Where we step into soft, elevated Nairobi Days.
Where we embrace bold expression during our Wild Nights.
And where we close in a beautiful elevated oasis, pouring back into the next generation through intention, mentorship, and impact.
Every moment is curated to be seen and embrace the multifaceted beauty of our Blackness and community impact.
If you were there, you already know. If you weren’t…this is your sign to attend 2027.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Hey Friend. Make no mistake about it. You belong here.
This summit is for lovers of literature, meaningful connection, and beautiful experiences.
Created for readers, writers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and everyday women learning to grow through every chapter of life, this weekend is designed for those seeking community, inspiration, and conversations that pour back into them.
Whether you are rebuilding, evolving, healing, creating, or simply looking for your people, this space was created with you in mind.

Here's What to Expect
Community & Connection
Black Girls Who Read was built on the belief that we are better together.
This is where community moves beyond conversation and becomes something you can feel—where you arrive as yourself and leave with people who truly see you. From our welcome soirée to the moments in between, every space is designed to foster real connection, shared experiences, and lasting relationships.
Creative Expression Through Literacy
We believe in the power of stories—the ones we read, the ones we write, and the ones we choose to live.
Through curated discussions, author moments, and immersive experiences, this weekend celebrates literacy as both an art form and a form of expression. Whether you’re an avid reader or an aspiring writer, this is your space to engage, reflect, and expand your voice.
Personal Growth & Becoming
This is your invitation to step into your next chapter.
Through thoughtfully designed breakout sessions and intentional programming, we explore what it means to grow beyond limitations, to honor who you are, and to become who you are meant to be. This is where mindset shifts happen, confidence is built, and new paths begin.
Legacy, Impact & Leadership
We are not just here to experience—we are here to pour back.
From writing letters of inspiration to engaging in mentorship and community-centered moments, this pillar is about extending our growth beyond ourselves. It is about leading with compassion, creating impact, and ensuring that the next generation feels seen, supported, and empowered earlier in their journey.
