About the event
The Philadelphia Chapter of Black Girls Who Read is excited to invite you to our Summer Meetup as we gather to discuss Keeper of the Lost Children by Sadeqa Johnson.
In celebration of Juneteenth, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Pan-African colors as we come together for an afternoon of community, culture, and meaningful conversation.
This gathering will take place at the Philadelphia Museum of Art grounds. The exact meetup location will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event, with a rain plan in place nearby.
This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) and BYOF (Bring Your Own Food) event. However, Black Girls Who Read will provide water and light refreshments to complement the experience.
Bring your book, your blanket, your favorite snacks, and your love of great stories as we celebrate freedom, literacy, and sisterhood together.
